Golden Eye Associates transitions to new ownership.

A GOLDEN TRANSITION

After more than 40 years practicing optometry in the Carthage community, Dr. Golden is announcing the transition of Golden Eye Associates to local Optometrists, Dr.’s Justin and Sarah Ward.

In Dr. Golden’s search for the right people to carry on his legacy, he wanted to choose a group that would take care of his patients as he would and who are passionate about the local East Texas community. He chose to sell his practice to a local group rather than a large private equity firm in order to keep the practice locally owned and operated.

Dr.’s Justin and Sarah Ward own and operate Longview Eye Associates & Marshall Eye Associates. Justin and Sarah’s love for East Texas began when they completed their clinical rotation in his practice in 2007 and 2009 respectively. They have been practicing in East Texas ever since. Justin & Sarah are very involved in the community. They are passionate about building healthy organizations that will provide state of the art eye care to their patients and a positive and challenging work environment. Dr. Golden is confident that they will continue his legacy of small town family eye care in Carthage.

Golden Eye Associates will transition to the name Carthage Eye Associates & Dr. Golden will continue to see patients at the clinic several days per week.
